1953 Ford Flipnose Gasser

I wanted a gasser truck, that might have been built by a couple of hillbillies out of their farm truck. Spend the money where it counts and hang what it looks like.
My first attempt at weathering and rust.
I started with an 'in the weeds' kit. Sensible huh? Yeah right!! LOL
Jacked up the front suspension. The wheelbase is shortend but I can't remember by how much.
I made the stakebed from lollipop sticks. The 'coach bolts' are pin heads.
I removed the speedo (who needs one?) and added the speedo cable with a drilled out end.
I also added some crudely fashioned patch panels at the bottom of each door.
