1963 Jaguar XK-E Cabriolet

This is my '63 Jag XK-E painted with Tamiya TS-86 Pure Red with a Tamiya TS-29 Semi Gloss Black interior, wired engine and built out of box. I removed the side windows since they were molded as part of the interior door panels.

Nice job all round Mike. I see you did the tops of the dashpots black then!!
In the build thread I was going to remind you to chrome plate the tops of the front wings, but you beat me too it!!! LOL

The chrome strips on the front fenders make the long hood look even longer! The instructions nor the box top had any call for them. My research showed that they were used and so I added them to the fender tops with my Molotow 1mm Liquid Chrome Pen.

Bloody rivet counters on the dashpots! (an uncle reckoned ATF was the go for SU dashpots) Back on topic, great paint. And nice steady hand with the chrome pen too.

Thank you Webby! I actually used Tamiya masking tape and a fine paint brush and painted the chrome from my Molotow Liquid Chrome pen. It worked out rather well!
