Dirk's Space 1999 Stun Gun made from foam

I've been a SciFi fan for almost as long as i could remember. As a kid one of the fist shows i watched as Space 1999. Me and my friends (no video games back then) would play pretend games running around like we were the characters from shows like Planet of the Apes, Star trek and Space 1999. I remember finding some scrap wood and cobbling together a stun gun of my own with screws for the emitters. Well fast forward to the present day and I now have my very own Stun Gun. Sure I could have gone and tried to find the resin garage kit but even if i could find it, its cost being over $80 was a bit prohibitive to me. Besides for the most part that resin kit is one piece and aside from sanding, sanding, sanding and more sanding, its a paint and done kinda build. After getting hooked on building foam props I decided that the Stun Gun would be a cool place to start. So using those cheap foam floor mat kits you find at hardware stores, some thinner craft foam from Hobby Lobby and a bit of Evergreen styrene i set to work. Here are the results. In the end this prop cost me under $10. Probably double what it cost the original design team to make it back in the 70's but considerably less they what they go for today. Personally i think it looks pretty cool and anyone over 50 will know exactly what it is.
