Ford GT40P Chassis # 1047....

..... well that's what Fujimi would have us believe. LOL
Pretty decent kit with no fit issues, virtualy no flash, mold lines etc. Decals were something of a let down as they were translucent and allowed some of the red to show through. Also, where they overlapped, they appear denser. (they way they should have been in the first place!! LOL)
It's a shame Fujimi made it kerbside as an engine would really make this kit. I think they also must have made a road version originally, as the dashboard is not correct for any race version I have ever seen. Also they failed to include a roll cage.
Since it does not truly represent chassis # 1047, I chose to use the roundels from chassis #1031 (It's original chassis number) as they have a nice black border.
The small P/E fret and seat belt material was a nice tough.

Nismo..... I belive the eyelets were there as a way to help keep the driver from sweating so much, during up to four hours at a time at the wheel.
They should be silver with a black centre but with over 160 per seat, I don't think my eyes were up to it!!! LOL
