Boulton Paul Defiant in 1:72

Airfix new tooling kit.
Lovely little kit well up to modern standards. The decals were a joy to work with. The undercarriage outer wheel doors were a tad fiddly to attach but other than that it is a great little kit.
I chose to represent it in it's more successful night fighter role for convenience and to be a bit different.
Airfix have a 1:48 version in the pipeline, to be released I believe on July 25th:
Going to get me one of those!!

The Defiant was one of the worst fighter aircraft of all time but I still like it. I need to get my hands on one of these new tool kits. Bravo!

This is a really well crafted build. The first thing that caught my eye was how well you did the decals and how they transition to the paint. You trimmed the film to the edge of the color and they integrate seamlessly with the with the semi gloss black (which is an unforgiving color) , Bravo Al!

Thanks guys, very much apreciated.
Chris.... you are right on both counts. Decals on black DO need to have the cleared areas trimmed, particularly on matt or semi matt black.
